Athens Rotary Club Gives Grants to Their Community
Athens Rotary partners with organizations they appreciate across Henderson County. They, with their Rotaract club, recently gave over $15K in grants to Helen Keller Partners in Service, Rainbow Room, Meals on Wheels, Matthew 25:35, Labor of Love, Love in Action, The King's Rein, Keep Athens Beautiful, Henderson County Preforming Arts Center, Henderson County Help Center, Family Peace Project, East Texas Arboretum, Casa, Child Abuse Prevention Month, Disciples Clinic of Athens, and Athens Soup Kitchen. Jefferson Rotary Club “Mini" Service Project
Instead of meeting for their typical lunch meeting, members of Jefferson Rotary Club met at Jefferson Historical Museum for a "mini" service project. They moved some heavy furniture and displays in their basement. They are asking the community to help locate areas they can perform these types of projects in about an hour during the work day.
