As your District Governor, I am happy to report that club visits are going well with 19 completed.

I want to commend the Marshall Club's recent 100th Anniversary celebration with International President Mark Daniel Maloney and his gracious wife, Gay, attending. Mark addressed the club, recognizing the historic importance of service as a 100-year attribute of the club and challenging the Club to continue with another 100 years of the same.

Next, considering the storm damage from Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas and America's east coast, I challenge each club to "connect the world" and participate in providing relief to the victims of the storm.
And I challenge each club in the District to recognize this month's Rotary theme for Basic Education and Literacy by engaging in a project such as dictionary distribution to third graders, participation the Dolly Parton Imagination Library or other worthwhile projects. With school starting, it seems that Rotarians must go to work.
