United for Good: A New Year of Service and Impact

I am truly honored and exhilarated to step into the role of District Governor for this new Rotary year. As I begin this journey, my heart is filled with deep appreciation for the path paved by Immediate Past District Governor Jeff Johnston and the many servant leaders who have shaped our vibrant district. With humility and hope, I look forward to all we will accomplish together in 2025–2026.

12 Months - - That’s a WRAP!

Time has FLOWN BY. During the past year, I have logged almost 31,000 miles performing District 5830 and Rotary International activities, training and visits. As your 2024-2025 District Governor, I have been blessed to visit every District 5830 Rotary club at least once and have also tried to make a number of the special events throughout the District - - - just because, my term is officially expiring, I am NOT DONE visiting and working with our many clubs!

Rotary year 2024-2025 has been a great year and we have collectively and individually achieved a lot:

Foundation July 2025 Newsletter

We just returned from an unforgettable and action packed 5 days at the Calgary Rotary International Convention. An International Convention is deep dive into Worldwide Rotary for all at all levels of involvement. Best yet, we have an International Convention Scheduled for Minneapolis, Minnesota May 27-31, 2028! Review your Calendars now and plan to attend.

While the Rotary Convention was a significant end to a momentous year, the Rotarians in District 5830 made it the terrific year it was. Our final numbers are still out, but Pamela Stewart, our Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator, said it really well: “To date, you beat your best total Annual Fund and Annual Fund Per Capita since at least 2012-13; [your] best total Endowment since at least 2012-13; and [your] best Total Giving since at least 2012-13.

2025-2026 Public Image Director Trudy Williams

It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of honor that I introduce myself as your Public Image Director for 2025-2026. I am truly excited to serve alongside you all as we work to elevate the visibility and impact of Rotary District 5830.

My goal this year is to support each of our clubs in aligning their public image with the core values of Rotary International, as well as the inspiring goals set forth by our District Governor.

Truly our greatest blessing is being born in the United States of America and too often we take for granted our incredible country and the lifestyle it provides.

In my lifetime, I have never known anyone who was struck by Polio. Being vaccinated in first grade was a requirement due to the virus being spread so easily and the magnitude of this devastating virus.

Nominations for DG Nominee Designate and Selection Date of August 16, 2025

It is time for nominations of emerging leaders from our District for service as District Governor. The new DG Nominee Designate will serve as DG for the 2028-2029 Rotary Year. Our District 5830 needs talented and effective leaders for our District to continue to achieve our goals and grow in service to our communities and the world. I am asking each of you to take a serious look around your Club, your Area Clubs, and the District for potential candidates to nominate for this worthy office.
