A large crowd of Rotarians gathered to celebrate the Rotary Foundation, recognize District 5830’s 2017 contributions and Global Humanitarian work, to be inspired by Past RI Director Brad Howard, and to honor those who have generously contributed to the Rotary Foundation in the calendar year 2017. 

New Level 1 Major Donors ($10,000 in lifetime giving) were Charlie Tidmore from Athens, R. Michael Groom from Cedar Creek Lake, DGN Jack and Ava Welge from Longview, and PDG Lee Montgomery from South Tyler.  New Level 2 Major Donors ($25,000 Lifetime giving) were PDG Shirley and Dr. John Griffin from Longview and DG Ted and Angela Huffhines from Marshall.  New Level 3 Major Donors ($50,000 Lifetime giving) were PDG Phil and Dee Bandel from Paris United.
Included in the honorees were a number of clubs who achieved Every Rotarian Every Year status, Sustaining Clubs:  those with Per Capita giving of $100 per Rotarian, and those Sustaining Clubs with $100 or more given by every Rotarian in the respective clubs.  Also honored were new Paul Harris Fellows, those with new levels of Multiple Paul Harris achievements, new Major Donors, and Rotary White Hat Awardees (those giving $5000 or more in the past year).
 
White Hat Awardees were PDG Phil Bandel from Paris United, PDG Fay J. Durrant from Texarkana International, DG Ted Huffhines from Marshall, and PDG Charles Whiteside from Kilgore.
