2025-2026 Rotary International Theme " Unite For Good" A few take aways from the President Elects who attended Lone Star PETS. "This has been a wonderful weekend!" PE Suzy Weaver, Cedar Creek Lake R.C. "Lone Star PETS has given me a much broader view of the impact we as a small Rotary Club can have on the world and the importance of each and every member." PE John Dollarhide, Mineola R.C.
"Rotary Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (P.E.T.S.) was nothing short of transformative! The training provided invaluable insights, practical leadership tools, and a renewed sense of purpose. Connecting with fellow Rotarians, sharing ideas, and learning from experienced mentors reinforced the true power of Service Above Self. I left feeling more inspired, prepared, and energized to lead with vision and dedication. The impact of this experience will undoubtedly shape the way I serve my club and community. Grateful for the opportunity and excited for the road ahead!" PE Ben Patterson, Henderson R.C.
"Lone Star Pets was a wonderful weekend. I was able to make connections and share ideas with other clubs in our district and the state. PETS also helped me to gain a greater understanding of how Rotary works at a club level and how The Rotary Club of Carthage fits into the community of Rotary. "PE Leah Newman, Carthage RC.
"It was fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone who will be the president of their Rotary club during the next Rotary year!" PE Bill Croom, The Tyler R.C.
"I wanted to take a moment to share my experience from the recent President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) held in Dallas. The event was truly inspiring, with keynote speakers who ignited our passion for Rotary and motivated us to pursue quality membership that aligns with our vision for the future. We were reminded that Rotary has a plan for peace and that we must “unite for good” and share with others that our minimal dues are worth every dollar that is returned to us so that we can impact our communities and the world!
Rotary International President-Elect Mário César Martins de Camargo emphasized the critical importance of membership growth in the U.S. His enthusiasm for building a strong community resonates deeply, and I feel equipped and motivated to support his initiatives to expand our reach and impact.
I also had the opportunity to connect with fellow members from other clubs who shared innovative ideas that I believe could greatly benefit my club. I’m excited to implement some of these strategies and collaborate with all of you to foster growth not just within our club but across our district as well.
Let’s harness this momentum and work together to build a vibrant Rotary community!" PE Tiffany McPherson Damskov, South Tyler R.C.
