At a recent meeting of the Clarksville Rotary Club, Rachel Ellsworth, Director of the Red River County Public Library, provided a program informing the members that a Repco Wildlife educational program was presented on August 1 and other events planned are a 3-D printer demo,  two martial arts and self defense programs and a musical instrument show.  Additional books for the Junior section of the library will also be purchased.  The Boys and Girl Club of Red River County, directed by Mina Edwards, has agreed to attend each scheduled event and will visit the library on a monthly basis to enjoy the updated Junior books collection.

The members of the Clarksville Rotary Club contribute annually to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.   A portion of funds contributed by Rotary clubs are returned by The Rotary Foundation to the Rotary International District to which the local club is assigned.   Rotary Clubs are then entitled to apply for a local grant from their District Grant Committee to assist with a local project in their community.  The local club matches the amount of the grant requested in the application.
