The Rotary Club of Longview’s “ROTAVIEW” has been selected as the District 5830 Rotary Contest Winner for 1Q2019. ROTAVIEW is an excellent example a club bulletin that displays a positive image within its community, serves as a great means of attracting prospective members, and is very effective in communicating current information to its membership.
(You can find a copy of the winning entry “ROTAVIEW” on the District Website documents downloads.)
In the District Bulletin Contest, all Club Bulletins are rated against the following criteria:
  • Interesting Format & Compelling Content
  • Display of the Correct Rotary Emblem
  • Display of the Current Theme Emblem
  • Meeting Date, Time, and Location Information
  • Identification of RI President and District Governor
  • Identification of Club Officers
  • Schedule of Upcoming Events
  • Highlights of active or just-completed projects
  • Contact Information for Club Members
  • Alternate Locations for Meeting Makeups
  • Club Social Media Links
  • Club Founding Date

With one minor exception of omitting the RI President’s name, ROTAVIEW clearly meets all of the above criteria and is an excellent example for all club’s to follow.

Almost all of the Bulletins submitted by other District Clubs did an admirable job of meeting the above criteria. For 1Q19, ROTAVIEW was simply a cut above.
