Rotarians will be responsible for making hotel reservations; however, when you register for the event, you will be asked if you are going to spend the night at Home2 Suites on Friday night and/or Saturday night. This will let us know when we fill up the block of rooms at a discounted rate.
For those that will be spending Friday night, we will meet at BonFire, 136 Clarksville St, Paris, Texas at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required so go ahead and register for the event now and let us know you are coming for the Friday night headcount. Meals are not included with the Foundation Dinner registration ticket.
Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. we will meet for Brunch at Paris Bakery, 128 First Street SW, Paris, Tx. and after our meal a tour of the Veterans' Memorial/Eiffel Tower with a stop by a Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site. Transportation has been lined up with the Paris Trolley Tours. There will not be a charge for the tours, but brunch is on you.
Then we will meet again at 5:00 p.m. at the Paris Conference and Event Center for a meet and greet with appetizers and an open bar. Two drink tickets will be provided to purchase wine, beer or soft drinks. You know how fun Silent Auctions are bidding against your friends but for a great cause. You will also have an opportunity to purchase a chance to win a Paul Harris Fellow. If you have already achieved a PHF level, you could win a PHF and make a fellow Rotarian or family member a PHF as a gift. The silent auction and Paul Harris Raffle will end at 6:00 p.m.
The cost of the Foundation Dinner is $60.00 per person.
The main event will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. with a wonderful meal and Director Brian Hall as our keynote speaker. Our entertainment for the evening will include Alex Fowzer on an acoustic guitar and Soloist Grant Taylor.
I encourage you to register as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly for a memorable evening. Together, we will celebrate a remarkable year of giving under the leadership of IPDG Jeff Johnston and the incredible Rotarians of District 5830 who continue to make a difference—locally and around the world.
I look forward to seeing you in Paris… Texas!
