May is Youth Services Month, and there is not a more fitting backdrop against which to measure the recent success of our Legacy Dinner and the successful ongoing Matching Points Campaign to increase the number of Paul Harris and Paul Harris + Members in our District. Simply stated, all District 5830 Rotarians need to be proud of their support of Rotary and The Rotary Foundation and its various Avenues of Service. Our work, though impressive, is not done.  There are still water wells to be dug so children have safe water to drink, children who need shoes and clothing for school, children who are without nourishment save the backpacks provided to them for weekends making  learning easier the following School Day, and many more.
Consider carefully how you can help and how you will lead in the fight to improve our Services to Youth.  Then remember “The Power of And”, Rotary's ability to bring together diverse individuals and groups to tackle complex challenges, leveraging partnerships and shared resources to achieve impactful results. Dwell a bit on the idea of shared resources and remember the matching funds available to your Club through The Rotary Foundation.  Be sure you participate.  Encourage all Club Members to participate.  Through your leadership we continue to make a difference in the lives of Youth.
