It seems like a lifetime ago that I stepped into a small restaurant in Willis, Texas, at the invitation of a Rotarian to become a part of Rotary International.  Since then I have availed myself of the opportunities of service provided by Rotary clubs and the District at large.  Like many of you, I have served in most every office in the local clubs and I have had the opportunity to serve on the District level.

Most of all, I feel honored to have been chosen to join the fraternity of  District Governors in 5830.  Our friendship has developed over the years and it is one that I will always cherish along with those who have served alongside us in our great humanitarian enterprise.
