Jim Archer, District Governor 2010-2011

 

Jim grew up in Kerens, TX. He attended Navarro College before going to East Texas State University (now Texas A&M - Commerce) where he earned a B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry. He later became the first person to earn a Ph.D. in Nuclear Chemistry from Texas A&M College Station. Jim has 40 years experience as a collegiate educator and holds the dubious distinction of having been part of the startup of two colleges, Austin Community College in 1979 and Northeast Texas Community College in 1985.

 

Jim has been a member of the Pittsburg Rotary Club in Pittsburg, Texas since 1986. He has held several offices in the club, having served as president on two occasions.
