Congratulations to Michael Newman, Past President 2018-2019 Rowlett RC & 2023-2024 Carthage RC, who has been selected by the District 5830 Nominating Committee as District Governor Nominee Designate. He has been selected to serve as D-5830 District Governor during the 2028-2029 Rotary Year.Michael has been a Rotarian for over 10 years. He first joined as a member of the Wylie East Fork Rotary Club in 2014. He transferred to the Rowlett Rotary Club in 2016 and to the Carthage Rotary Club in 2021. Michael is currently serving as the Treasurer for the Carthage Rotary Club.
After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1998, Michael became an accomplished software and database developer with a strong ability to find productive and beneficial solutions. His primary business, MWN Consulting LLC, provides solutions for a wide variety of IT needs and helps small business owners learn how to leverage technology. In addition, he is also President of Atlas Cloud LLC which provides an online portal for data analytics.
Michael is married to Leah Newman, and they enjoy working and serving together. Michael and Leah are both licensed real estate agents with Theresa Hull Hometown Realty where Leah is an accomplished Realtor. Leah is an active Rotarian since 2023, and she is currently serving as President of the Carthage Rotary Club. Together, they are excited to serve District 5830.
